全国共通短縮ダイヤル「#8778」で女性の悩みを支援、令和6年6月3日より運用開始
女性相談支援センター全国共通短縮ダイヤル 「＃８７７８（はなそうなやみ）」の運用を開始します！（厚労省）
令和6年6月3日、困難な問題を抱える女性が相談しやすい環境を整えるため、全国共通短縮ダイヤル「#8778（はなそうなやみ）」の運用が開始されました。この新しいダイヤルは、女性相談支援センターが提供する支援サービスの一環として、女性が抱える様々な悩みに対して相談を受け付けるものです。女性相談支援センターは、都道府県が設置する機関であり、女性が直面する問題に対する相談や支援を提供しています。
「#8778（はなそうなやみ）」を利用することで、電話をかけた地域の女性相談支援センターの窓口に直接つながることができます。これにより、女性が身近な相談窓口に迅速にアクセスできるようになり、適切な支援を受けることが期待されます。ただし、通話料は相談者の負担となり、一部の地域や電話回線の種類によっては「#8778」を利用できない場合があります。このような場合には、各都道府県の女性相談支援センターの電話番号を直接利用することが推奨されます。
具体的には、NTTアナログ固定電話やNTTひかり固定電話、ソフトバンク、NTTドコモ、KDDI（au）などの回線を利用している場合、岩手県、新潟県、京都府、兵庫県、福岡県、大分県、沖縄県の一部地域では「#8778」が利用できません。さらに、一部のIP電話からも利用できないケースがあります。このため、利用可能な電話番号については、厚生労働省のホームページで確認することが重要です。
この取り組みは、困難な問題を抱える女性が孤立せず、適切な支援を受けるための一助となることを目指しています。女性相談支援センターでは、DV被害、職場でのハラスメント、生活困窮、家庭内問題など、様々な問題に対応しています。相談者は、自分の状況や悩みに応じた具体的な支援やアドバイスを受けることができます。
令和6年6月3日から開始された「#8778（はなそうなやみ）」の運用により、多くの女性が相談しやすくなり、より多くの支援が提供されることが期待されます。困難な状況にある女性が安心して相談できる環境を整えるため、今後もさらなる改善が図られる予定です。この短縮ダイヤルの運用開始は、女性の生活支援において重要な一歩となることでしょう。

Women’s Consultation Support Center will start operating a nationwide abbreviated dial, “#8778 (Hanasou Nayami)”! (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Japan)
On June 3, 2024, a nationwide speed dial, #8778 (Hanasou Nayami), began operation to provide an environment where women with difficult problems can easily seek advice. This new dial is part of the support services provided by the Women’s Consultation Support Center, which offers consultation services for various problems women may have. The Women’s Consultation Support Center is an organization set up by prefectural governments to provide consultation and support for problems faced by women.
By using #8778 (hanasou na yami), callers are directly connected to the Women’s Consultation Support Center in the area where they call. This allows women to quickly access a consultation center close to them and is expected to provide appropriate support. However, call charges are to be borne by the caller, and “#8778” may not be available in some areas or on some types of telephone lines. In such cases, it is recommended to use directly the telephone number of the Women’s Consultation Support Center in each prefecture.
Specifically, “#8778” is not available in Iwate, Niigata, Kyoto, Hyogo, Fukuoka, Oita, and some parts of Okinawa prefectures when using NTT analog or NTT Hikari land lines, Softbank, NTT Docomo, or KDDI (au) lines. Furthermore, in some cases, it is not available from some IP phones. Therefore, it is important to check the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s website for available telephone numbers.
This initiative aims to help women with difficult problems to avoid isolation and receive appropriate support. The Women’s Consultation Support Center addresses a variety of issues, including domestic violence victimization, harassment in the workplace, impoverishment, and domestic problems. Consultants can receive specific support and advice tailored to their situation and concerns.
It is hoped that the operation of “#8778 (Hanasou Nayami),” which began on June 3, 2024, will make it easier for many women to seek advice and provide more support. Further improvements will be made in the future to create an environment where women in difficult situations can consult with ease. The start of the operation of this speed dial will be an important step forward in supporting women in their daily lives.
