令和5年産米の契約・販売状況、民間在庫の推移及び米穀販売事業者における販売数量・販売価格の動向について（令和6年4月末現在）（農水省）

令和6年5月31日、農林水産省は「令和5年産米の契約・販売状況（令和6年4月末）」、「民間在庫の推移（令和6年4月末）」および「米穀販売事業者における販売数量・販売価格の動向（令和6年4月末）」を発表しました。

この発表は、平成30年からの米政策の見直しに基づき、米生産者や集荷業者が需要に応じた生産を行えるようにするための環境整備の一環です。平成26年3月以降、米の流通に関する詳細な需給・価格情報や在庫情報などを提供しています。今回の発表では、令和6年4月末時点の契約・販売状況、民間在庫の推移、および米穀販売事業者の販売数量・販売価格の動向が取りまとめられました。

まず、令和6年4月末現在の出荷業者による全国の集荷数量は253.7万トンで、前年同月比で13.2万トン減少しています。一方、契約数量は237.1万トンで前年同月比9.1万トン減少、販売数量は138.1万トンで前年同月比7.5万トン増加しています。

次に、民間在庫の推移については、令和6年4月末現在、全国の民間在庫は180万トンで前年同月比39万トン減少しています。

最後に、米穀販売事業者における販売数量・販売価格の動向についてですが、令和6年4月末現在の精米の販売数量は前年同月比103.8％となっており、その内訳として、小売事業者向けは107.6％、中食・外食事業者等向けは98.9％です。販売価格に関しては、小売事業者向けが前年同月比112.3％、中食・外食事業者等向けが112.6％となっています。

Private-sector inventories down 390,000 tons year-on-year; trends in rice sales at the end of April 2024

On May 31, 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) released “Status of Contracts and Sales of Rice for the Year 2023 (as of April 30, 2011),” “Trends in Private Sector Inventories (as of April 30, 2024),” and “Trends in Sales Volume and Sales Price at Rice Marketing Businesses (as of April 30, 2024).

These announcements are part of the environmental improvement efforts to enable rice producers and collectors to produce rice in response to demand based on the revision of the rice policy starting in 2008. Since March 2014, detailed supply, demand, price, and inventory information on rice distribution has been provided. This announcement summarizes the status of contracts and sales as of the end of April 2024, changes in private-sector inventories, and trends in sales volume and sales prices for rice marketers.

First, as of the end of April 2024, the total volume of rice collected by shippers nationwide was 2,537,000 tons, a decrease of 132,000 tons from the same month last year. On the other hand, contracted volume was 2,371,000 tons, down 91,000 tons from the same month last year, and sales volume was 1,381,000 tons, up 75,000 tons from the same month last year.

Next, regarding changes in private-sector inventories, as of the end of April 2024, nationwide private-sector inventories were 1.8 million tons, a decrease of 390,000 tons from the same month last year.

Lastly, regarding trends in the sales volume and sales price of rice dealers, as of the end of April 2024, the sales volume of milled rice was 103.8% compared to the same month last year, of which sales to retailers accounted for 107.6% and those to food service and restaurant operators 98.9%. Sales prices to retailers were 112.3% of the same month last year, while those to food services and restaurants were 112.6%.

This announcement is based on data reported by rice shippers, distributors, and organizations. Detailed data can be found on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
